Tuesday, May 12, 2009
The University of Pennsylvania’s Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research celebrated its fifth anniversary with a reception on April 23 at the Please Touch Museum honoring founding benefactors Joseph and Marie Field.  The Field Center, an interdisciplinary collaboration of the University of Pennsylvania’s schools of Social Policy & Practice, Law and Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), seeks critical change in the child welfare system to improve the lives of victims of child abuse and neglect.  Pictured, from left, are Richard Gelles, Field Center faculty director and dean of Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice; Debra Schilling Wolfe, Field Center executive director; Joseph Field; Penn President Amy Gutmann; Marie Field; Cindy Christian, Field Center faculty director from CHOP; and Alan Lerner, Field Center faculty director from the Penn Law School.
