Tuesday, May 12, 2009
Yesterday, more than 300 people turned out for WHYY’s President’s Dinner at which Terry Gross, above right, host and co-executive producer of WHYY’s “Fresh Air,” interviewed the recipient of this year’s Lifelong Learning Award, renowned filmmaker Ken Burns, above center.

WHYY’s Lifelong Learning Award is presented to “individuals who demonstrate leadership and devotion to the community and facilitate lifelong learning opportunities for all.”  Mr. Burns is best known for his documentaries “The Civil War” and “Baseball.”  Also pictured is WHYY Executive Producer Trudi Brown.
