Papa Haydn Bicentennial Gala

Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the passing of Joseph Haydn, Vox Ama Deus presents a musical feast in tuneful and joyous homage to one of western civilization’s greatest musical masters.  Featured are two of Haydn’s most famous works – the lively Trumpet Concerto in E-flat Major and the D Major Piano Concerto (which, incidentally, marked Maestro Valentin Radu’s concert debut with the Bucharest Philharmonic at age 9!).  Also on the program are the stirring Lord Nelson Mass and the unique, tongue-in-cheek Farewell Symphony, when, at the end, one by one, the musicians leave the stage.  (Running Time: 2 Hours – 1 Intermission)

Friday, November 6 at 8:00 PM, Kimmel Center – Perelman Theater.

$60 / $40 / $20 available online at KimmelCenter.org and VoxAmaDeus.org or by phone 215-893-1999 (Kimmel Box Office) and at the door (subject to availability). For group sales call Vox Ama Deus at 610-688-2800.
