Our Newspaper > About UsAbout The Bulletin, Philadelphia's Family NewspaperThe Bulletin, originally established in 1847, was re-launched as Philadelphia's newest broadsheet newspaper in 2004 as a Monday to Friday daily, published by Thomas G. Rice. The Bulletin provides world, national, local news coverage and an exciting reading experience for the whole family. From the cartoons and fun games for the kids to the biting, conservative commentary for adults, The Bulletin delivers like no other newspaper in the Philadelphia area. Mission Statement The Bulletin's mission is to provide intelligent, unbiased news coverage that is accessible and affirming to families throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. The Bulletin addresses itself to thoughtful, concerned readers who wish to be informed and come to their own conclusions about the issues of today's world. The Bulletin has fashioned itself as a paper for the entire family, and we apply our values to our entire organization and publication. We strive to avoid the sensationalism which characterizes much of today's mainstream media. Our news content is edited to neutrality, in contrast to the growing polarization in our society. In addition, we only accept appropriate advertising. Finally, we are committed to reporting the truth, including both the unpleasant and the many inspiring truths of today's world. We are committed to providing our readers with information that will reaffirm their belief in the fundamental good of society. We hope that our mission resonates with you, and that you will allow us to be a part of your life. |
