While the excitement continues to grow as we inch closer to the completion of the Chattahoochee white water project, local business owners are looking forward to what the project will mean for Columbus and surrounding areas. Jason McKenzie, owner of Ride On Bikes, offers his views on how white water will enliven and invigorate our community.
Calling all wine enthusiasts and food lovers! The Toast of the Town is just around the corner!
On March 23, from 7-11pm, The Columbus Symphony Orchestra will hold its third annual Toast of the Town fundraising event in support of music projects in the Columbus area. This lavish occasion offers attendees the unique opportunity to try fine wines from over 200 vintners from around the globe, as well as to experience some gourmet cuisine from top area chefs and restaurants. Some notable participants this year will include Ben’s Chophouse, Meritage, The Market, and Cafe Le Rue, just to name a few. And for the first time, The Toast will be offering hand-crafted beer from regional breweries, adding to the already vast selection of beverage options. There will also be a silent auction which will give Toasters the chance to score some great bottles of wine and exciting trip packages to places such as Colorado and Paris.
Tickets to The Toast are $85 through March 16 ($95 after that), with the proceeds sponsoring the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in their music and educational endeavors throughout the year, ensuring the excellence we’ve come to expect from the CSO. So get ready to have a ball at The Toast of the Town while supporting a wonderful cause!
